Nice race! You will hit your PR and goal for Boston. Stay true to your training these last few weeks and for sure you will be registering for a race in April (Boston).

Thank you for the support and words of encouragement Bec! I really appreciate that. I'm feeling good about my chances, a little anxious, and looking forward to Oct 11th. Stay tuned..

Congratulations on a PR! Your splits suggest you were in about 1:19 shape but held back too much in the early miles.

You should be able to go under 3:00 in the marathon. I would suggest pacing yourself at 7:00 per mile. This will give you some room to BQ if you blow up. But you should not blow up too bad. You if you can run 1:22 half closing in 5:46, 1:30 for the first half will be a jog. Then you should have at least another 5 miles at 7:00. If you can make it to 20 miles in 2:20, you can go as slow as 8:00 for the last 6 and still BQ.

So I would just focus on no miles slower than 7:00, but no miles faster than 6:55 until you get to 20.

Good luck with your upcoming race. Based off your last race you should be able to qualify with room to spare.
